Development Audit

The Build to Thrive Development Audit is an assessment of all your organization’s public-facing programs and communication. Every activity or initiative that aims to generate financial, human capital, or in-kind resources for your organization must be included. If you are stepping into the CEO or CDO role, a strong first move is to have an external review of the program. Or, perhaps you need to baseline a new initiative.

The Development Audit looks at the involvement of board, staff and volunteers in the fundraising process and offers recommendations on how to best use the fundraising resources of your organization. Second, the audit will evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of your development systems and processes to assure that they are in compliance with best practice standards. Finally. the audit examines donor communication setup and practice.

The assessment report will provide an overview of findings as well as recommendations for improvement.
